Microsoft Banning Homebrew 360s from LIVE
>> It looks like Microsoft started banning homebrew Xbox 360 (running freeBOOT or XBReboot) from Xbox LIVE. This was of course highly expected to happen any time soon.
There are many ways for Microsoft to detect these modifications, no stealth or anything was implemented (nor is there any will from the dev community to do this considering it would even be possible).
Homebrew and Xbox LIVE don't go together, nor should they probably.

Viper360 v0.1 - an alternative launcher

This is an alternative launcher, that was created in said "30 minutes", and may be upgraded soon. As you can see, the pace on this moves fast, so dishing out big updates should be easy for the developer.

Keep in mind, when you copy, it counts files, so if it stalls for you, it's a beta, it's just counting files.. give it a second..
When it's pasting.. the UI will appear frozen until it is complete, and then it will resume.
Same with deleting, but it is fast usually so it is unnoticeable.
Two methods to go about utilizing this..
* Disc:
Download the ISO from the usual places, and burn it using a program such as ImgBurn to a CD/DVD/etc. Pop it in, and click play game.
* Hard drive(Game Demo):
Download the VIPER360_LIVE.rar, extract the contents, and you will have a "CODE7777" folder. Place this in your "Content\0000000000000000\" folder on your hard drive. Now when you go to games library, you should have a Demo called "Viper360". You can boot that to utilize it.

FreeXex QuickBoot v0.2

XBReboot 8955_1 for Jasper 256/512 NANDs
>> Last week our news feed was pretty slow here on x-s because I was away, barely had internet access and then I then I got stuck at airports with the snow and all. Anyway all solved now and I'll post news like usual again.
This new XBReboot was released a few days ago but I missed it ... however it's a pretty important release, so here it is :)
It's the same XBReboot already released for all other Xbox 360 motherboards (reboots in 8955 with the latest patches (_1)). This one will work on the Jasper motherboards with 256 and 512mb NANDs!
XBReboot is an image you can flash on your onboard NAND that will allow you to 'reboot' a JTAG-exploitable (~pre-mid-June MFR date, pre 8xxx kernel) 360 in a patched 8955 kernel which makes homebrew XDK (unsigned XEXs etc) possible.

FreeXeX team XeXLoader 0.21 X-Mas Edition Preview
